Word And Excel 2016 Keep Crashing on Startup

To work around this issue, please try following these steps:
Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur. Please refer to this article about how to back up and restore the registry in Windows.
1)Exit all Office 2016 applications.
2)Start Registry Editor, locate and then select the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\General
3)Locate the ShownFirstRunOptin registry value. (If you do not find ShownFirstRunOptin,point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value, type ShownFirstRunOptin, and then press ENTER.)
4)Right-click ShownFirstRunOptin, and then click Modify, in the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK:
5)On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
If the issue still exists, it is also suggested to perform a Windows clean boot to narrow down if the problem is related to any software conflicts.
